Google Clicks
Google’s Sponsored Links Advertising Clicks
When people look at the Google search page and see something they wish to look at
further, they click on the item on the page.
Pay Per Click
As a Sponsored Link (an advertiser) you do not pay each time your ad appears – that would
be called Pay Per View.
Instead, with AdWords you only pay when someone reads your ad AND CLICKS
ON IT to go to your website – this is called Pay Per Click (PPC).
You only pay when they decide they are interested in the advertisements placed for you by
Add Words and they want to see your website.
A Search Page on Google

This is simply what you see when you enter a search into the Google search
page.
You can request Australian content to get answers
from within Australia.
Sponsored Links - the 2 highlighted areas
There are obviously ads on the right of the page, but few realise there are ads at the
top of the page. They are all advertisements.
Even marketing people, computer people, business people, or anyone else who knows this
still does the same thing - they all start at the top of the page.
Even if they intend to ignore ads, their eyes go over these ones and can easily spot what
is being sought - often in the top ads!
Sponsored Links – Getting the Top Spots
Google choose which ads appear there, by allocating a quality score to the ad, aimed at
selecting the best and most relevant ad for the enquiry that has been made.
· Only fabulously good ads are allowed at the top, and there are a maximum of 3 ads only
there.
· There may be none good enough. Or maybe 1 or 2.
· If there are 3, it may be that more than 3 were good enough, but only the top 3 are
shown and the rest placed at the top of the right-hand list.
How Google Rank All Those Websites
So how do you get to the top?
Anyone can get into the column on the right, but it takes an expert to get into the top
group. That expertise is only developed by hard-won experience and dedication, because Google keep the
formula a secret, and what works can only be found by trying one thing after another. Add Words can offer
that expertise, which makes all the difference!
The number of hits does not count for Sponsored Links, only for the organic search. The
bid price is a small part of calculation for Sponsored Links. The best Sponsored Links ads are rewarded with
a higher position AND ALSO often a lower click price!
Google Content Ads
The ads on Google search pages are called "Sponsored Links".
Ads which appear on webpages, among content, are called "Ads By Google", generated by the
Google AdSense program, and are rarely used by Add Words, as we see them as being more like Creative Ads or
Interruption Marketing.
They appear on pages which display information to which they are
relevant.
Google ranks them in order of how they best answer the query, just as they do for the
natural or organic search. Advertisers pay to appear, where the organic search costs nothing for the owners
of websites. There are other factors in earning a good ranking, and there is more information on the next few
pages.
It's not hard to imagine the
benefits of being in the top
advertising spots, and Add Words can take you there!
